BARATARIA- A swamp tour guide is quickly becoming an Internet sensation, after an out-of-town visitor posted a video on YouTube showing the man swimming with alligators in the swamp south of New Orleans.
The guide also feeds the swamp creatures, sometimes with marsh mellows directly from his mouth to theirs.
In the video, a boat full of people watch as their guide pets the alligators like they are dogs. "Oh my God," a woman gasps as both of the alligators approach, yet seem docile around the unidentified guide.
In another part of the video, one of the alligators is riding on the man's shoulders.
The video, just shy of three minutes, has fewer than 8,000 views.
Obviously, no one should try this for themselves. The state issued a warning to people about becoming too cozy with alligators after a group of people were recorded interacting with one by a New Orleans-area TV crew when the alligator was washed up by rising water in a recent storm.
