Warrick won't seek Grambling president position
GRAMBLING - Interim Grambling State University president Cynthia Warrick has decided not to apply for the permanent position of president.
The News-Star reports she made the announcement Thursday in a press release sent to local media.
Warrick said she decided to honor an agreement not to apply for the permanent position.
During Warrick's six-month tenure as interim president, she said in her letter that she had streamlined administrative operations; implemented aggressive student recruitment strategies; and established relationships with local, state, regional and national legislative and governmental representatives to support program and funding initiatives.
University of Louisiana System President Sandra K. Woodley acknowledged Warrick's decision and offered her continued support.
Woodley said Grambling's next president will benefit from her hard work and dedication.
