This Tuesday starts out with some calmer weather. We have partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s.
We will have another round of showers and thunderstorms popping up this afternoon, and some of them could be strong to severe. The atmosphere over Baton Rouge will be very unstable and that is fuel for storm development. This is all due to the very warm and humid air mass over us along with a weak disturbance moving through and leftover outflow boundaries from the storms yesterday. The main threats with the storms will be damaging winds and quarter-size hail. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s.
The storms will continue this evening and will dissipate overnight. Then we will have mostly cloudy skies with lows in the upper 60s.
Be sure to watch 2une In right now for all the details on our threat for severe weather today.
