Firefighters say they've had some flare ups overnight, but it's still under control.

As soon as the sun rises, the investigation into the fire will continue.

According to Livingston Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness 48 people signed in to the shelter yesterday at Eastside Elementary on Lockhart Road, but since then about 30 remain in the shelter.

Livingston Parish OEP provided about 30 cots to District 5 Fire Department for first responders.

Officials say residents could go home as early as 8:30 a.m.

Eden Church Road will be reopened as soon as State Police and firefighters deem it safe, but the road might not open until possibly this afternoon.

All Southeastern classes and other activities at the Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center on Highway 190 in Walker are expected to resume today.
