BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge Police are searching for 19-year old Jeremy Payne in connection to a shooting that happened Saturday in broad daylight.

According to investigators, Payne shot and killed Curtis Mitchell after a fight in the 5300 block of Paige Street.

Investigators believe the shooting was drug related.

Mitchell's family members told News 2 they are baffled that someone would want their loved one killed.

"I'd like to ask the person who did it," Chantel Huggins said. "Why did they do it because he don't bother nobody. He just stay in his house and do his own thing."
