Walker man dies in car crash, alcohol suspected

WALKER - A Walker man is dead after a single-vehicle car crash around 6 p.m. on LA 1025 (Arnold Rd.) in Livingston Parish, according to Tpr. Russell Graham.
Graham says 66-year-old Larry Dunlap ran his 1996 Isuzu pickup truck off the road into a ditch also striking a culvert.
Dunlap was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. Dunlap was airlifted to Ochsner Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died, according to Graham.
Graham says troopers believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. A blood sample from Dunlap was submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for chemical analysis.
