Walker man arrested for death of infant
WALKER- A man in Walker accused of killing his 4 week-old infant daughter, is now behind bars.
Detectives arrested Franklin Finney after he admitted to covering the baby's mouth to stop her from crying. Finney says he did not realize the baby was no longer breathing until the baby's mother, Kayla Depoy, entered the room and saw the baby was unresponsive.
The baby was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Finney was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail with a charge of manslaughter.
His bond is set at $75,000.
