Wal-Mart wants Discrimination Lawsuit Thrown Out
Wal-Mart asked the Supreme Court to throw out a class action lawsuit that alleges gender discrimination over pay for female workers. Wal-Mart could faces billions in damages if the suit is heard and the company loses. The suit was first filed by six women in 2001 and a federal appeals court ruled the company should faces charges in court that it pays women less than men in the same jobs. Wal-Mart filed an appeal with the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
