Wahlberg, Washington and town of Amite are big stars in new flick
AMITE- A movie produced in this central Tangipahoa Parish town struck gold at the box office over the weekend.
2 Guns didn't just get rave reviews from critics, it also took in the most money. For opening weekend, the movie raised $27.5 million. It premiered Friday.
Last summer, the town was filled with production crews who transformed downtown into a movie set for the action film.
The movie stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.
This month, Baton Rouge hosts crews for the Nicholas Cage film Left Behind. In September, Fantastic Four will being production.
