Voters in four area parishes cast ballots Saturday
BATON ROUGE - Elections will be held on Saturday in East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension and Iberville parishes with polls opening at 7 a.m.
The polls close at 8 p.m. For more information on the candidates and the propositions that will appear on the ballot, check out the Louisiana secretary of state's geauxvote.com website.

Renew a 10-year, 3.27-mill property tax, generating $405,714 a year, for fire stations and equipment.

Zachary Community School System proposition
-Levy a 1 percent sales tax, generating $4.5 million a year, for school purposes; including salaries and benefits of teachers and other school system personnel
