Volunteers remove BREC park graffiti
BATON ROUGE - BREC officials said despite heavy rain, volunteers came out to their Extreme Sports Park to remove graffiti painted on the skate park over the weekend.
BREC said skaters who frequently used the park were the ones who cleaned it up.
"They are true ambassadors of the park and take pride in making sure their favorite park stays clean and open for ALL to enjoy," the organization said on their Facebook page.
The graffiti appeared sometime Sunday at the park on Perkins Road according to BREC. Park officials closed the skate park portion Monday until the graffiti could be removed.
BREC said they will reopen the park once the weather clears and things dry out.
