Volunteers prepare for Isaac's arrival
BATON ROUGE - Red Cross volunteers in the Baton Rouge area packed up this morning to head to Florida and help prepare for Tropical Storm Isaac.
Nancy Malone said volunteers would help set up shelters. She said the team includes volunteers experienced with storms, including some who helped in Florida earlier this summer for Tropical Storm Debbie.
Meteorologists currently put Isaac's path toward the Gulf Coast, with a possible arrival early next week.
News 2's Mike Steele will have more on local preparations in case the storm heads toward Louisiana tonight starting at 4 p.m.
