Volunteers clean up Bayou Fountain
BATON ROUGE - Volunteers were at Bayou Fountain Saturday cleaning debris out of the water.
For couple Bill and April Armstrong, the cleanup is important to them because they say something needs to be done.
"It's the world we live in and it's a garbage dump. It shouldn't be a garbage dump and I hate to see people treat it that way," said Bill Armstrong.
Old computer monitors and televisions were among all of the garbage that was pulled from the water.
April Armstrong says it wasn't a good feeling after seeing all of the items that was in the water.
"Styrofoam, mud-filled beer cans, bottles, etc. It's very disappointing to see that sort of thing."
