BATON ROUGE Volunteers and Bishop Muench will serve a Christmas meal to hundreds of people in need today.

Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul dining room. The dining room is located at 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place.

St. Vincent de Paul is the largest provider of hot meals in the Baton Rouge community. This year volunteers will serve up more than 216-thousand meals to the poor, homeless and elderly.

News 2's Rachel Frost will have more on this story tonight at 10 p.m.
