Volkswagen Beetle about to come full circle
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE- A man who pined over his stolen 1965 Volkswagen Beetle for 40 years can now get it back.
Joe MacDonald of Knoxville, Tennessee used to buy and fix up VW Bugs to sell but says he never stopped grieving for the red convertible he says he had running "slick as a ribbon" before it was stolen.
It was discovered in Detroit when federal border agents checked the paperwork as it was about to be shipped overseas for restoration.
MacDonald says he contacted the feds about getting the car back and U.S. Customs and Border Protection is sending him a form to fill out.
He was told the car had been located by a reporter for WBIR-TV.
