Visit BR launches smartphone app
BATON ROUGE- A free "app" for your smartphone highlights what Baton Rouge has to offer. It's called Go BR and it works like a personal tour guide.
Visit Baton Rouge launched the app as a resource for both visitors and locals.
"The app will tell people where to eat, what events are going on nearby, what attractions are close by. So it's a great app for visitors and locals alike," Theresa Overby, with Visit Baton Rouge, said.
The app's database includes more than 1,200 business spread across nine parishes. So far, more than 300 iPhone users have downloaded the app.
