BATON ROUGE - Authorities credit the public in the arrests of 2 men charged with first degree murder. Kendrick Johnson and Patrick Ramirez were arrested this week after aledgedly killing 2 people and stuffing them in a trunk on Dutton Street.
For hours after the bodies were found, detectives in the Violent Crime Unit worked through the night until they received a tip that led them to Johnson and Ramirez.
News 2's Michael Shingleton toured the VCU's new headquarters and gets answers on if law enforcement is relying on tip that may or may not produce results.
