Vigilante justice murder suspect arrested
BATON ROUGE - A vigilante justice murder suspect surrendered to authorities Thursday.
Baton Rouge Police said Yovanni Anibal Romos-Salazar was booked into jail on second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon charges. He is accused of killing Joel Guevara Sunday night on Quida Mae.
The Investigative Unit uncovered, and police later confirmed, Guevara was suspected of raping a family member of the murder suspect.
Investigators believe the rape was the motive for the killing.
