LIVONIA - Hundreds came together at Livonia High School Saturday night to stand behind one of their own: 15 year old Brandt Torres.
His brother joined in the prayers.
"This means a lot. I'm sure he would appreciate all the support all the people that turned out is great," says Britt Torres.
Brandt Torres is fighting for his life after a duck hunting trip in Grosse Tete Bayou took a tragic turn.
One of his childhood friends, also 15, accidentally shot Brandt in the head while aiming at a duck.
The teen is now in a medically induced coma at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital according to Brandt's brother. However he believes the power of prayer will bring Brandt to a full recovery.
"It makes the hairs stand up on my arm when they started talking. I'm thankful for all the support they have out there," says Torres.
