Video: police likely to investigate teenage brawl
BATON ROUGE - An after school brawl involving dozens of kids has caught the attention of Baton Rouge Police.
Kids of all ages were involved in the fight, captured on camera and posted online. The fight happened at the E. Brookstown and Hendricks, near BREC's Howell Park.
The video was posted to RedStickNow's Facebook page Wednesday afternoon. Since, it's been shared hundreds of times and has hundreds of comments from viewers.
In the video, there are people looking on, watching the fight and taking pictures. Some of them even encourage people to fight.
"Let 'em fight, let 'em fight, let 'em fight," said one female voice.
Another voice encouraged a person to punch someone, repeatedly.
Kids, mostly females, are on the ground in the video, pulling hair, kicking, throwing punches and screaming.
"A lot of people got sprayed with mace," said one woman. "They had kids everywhere. It was big."
Another person saw the end of the fight.
"I'm like 'why is everybody standing there,'" she said. "Why didn't they break these children up? I was scared to go in to be honest, because I didn't want to get hit."
Police forwarded the video to investigators. BRPD told WBRZ News 2, based on what they see, some people could face charges.
