Victim of Fairchild St. shooting dies at area hospital
BATON ROUGE - Police confirmed that a man who was shot earlier Wednesday in the 1600 block of Fairchild Street has died at an area hospital.
Investigators are now looking into the shooting death of 23-year-old Reginald Lee who was shot in the chest by his 23-year-old girlfriend at their residence around 1:25 p.m.
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The girlfriend is being detained for questioning at this time, but a motive has yet to be established.
Neighbors at the scene of the shooting said the couple had just recently moved into the residence on Fairchild Street where the shooting happened.
