Victim identified in Madison Ave. shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police released the name Tuesday of a man shot and killed in Baton Rouge Monday night.
Investigators said Calvin Chrisentary, 21, died from injuries in the shooting on Madison Avenue.
Police said they were called to the 5000 block of Madison Avenue for reports of gunshots around 8:45 p.m. Monday. They said they found Chrisentary shot in the back, and that he later died at a local hospital.
Detectives said details about the shooting including the motive are still not clear. Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869.
