Victim identified in Ave. H shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police said a 24-year-old Baton Rouge man died in a shooting on Avenue H overnight.
Cpl. Don Coppola said Gerald Penny was found around 2 a.m. near the corner of Ave. H and Woodcock Street with multiple gunshot wounds.
Penny was taken to an area hospital where Coppola said he later died from his injuries.
Investigators said there are no known motives or suspects at this time. Anyone with information is urged to contact the BRPD Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869.
