Victim dies in Sunday morning shooting
BATON ROUGE - A man died after being shot by an unknown suspect Sunday morning.
Police say 32-year-old Kendrick Thompson died at a local hospital from injuries he sustained in a shooting on the 3900 block of Beechwood Dr. around 10 a.m.
Investigators believe Thompson got out of a tan or gold colored sedan and started to run away when the driver got out of the car and shot at him.
Detectives say the driver fled north on Beechwood after firing his gun.
Anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to contact police.
