It is a VERY muggy and warm start to this Monday Morning with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures are in the mid 70s.

We will return to a more typical summer-time weather pattern today as the upper-level low that sat over us all weekend has finally moved east of Louisiana. Now an area of high pressure will build in to the west of Louisiana and sit over Texas. This will allow us to become hotter and stay humid with the afternoon showers and storms popping up. The storms will likely be slow-movers and could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. High temperatures will be back in the lower 90s.

A weak disturbance will be riding along the east-side of the high pressure tonight and it will track toward Louisiana. It will be weakening as it gets closer to the state, but could still bring us a few showers tonight. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and steamy with lows in the mid 70s.

I have all the details on 2une In right now!
