Vannoy takes over as LSU Alumni president
BATON ROUGE - Cliff Vannoy, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the LSU Alumni Association, was named president and chief executive officer of the alumni organization last Friday.
Vannoy served as interim CEO after previous alumni president Charlie Roberts resigned in the midst of a job-for-sex scandal involving a former employee. He took over the position permanently on Aug. 22.
A veteran alumni relations professional, Vannoy joined the LSU Alumni Association in 1981 as assistant to the director for corporate giving before rising to the position of vice president for alumni development.
Before joining LSU, Vannoy was employed as a real estate broker in Florida. His wife received a master's degree from LSU in 1985 and one of his two grown sons graduated from LSU's College of Engineering in 2012.
