US Marshals looking for escapee in BR
BATON ROUGE - Authorities searched an area of Baton Rouge after reportedly spotting an escapee from Ouachita Parish.
Members of the U.S. Marshal's Office said Jamie Sam, 33, walked away from a DOC work release program on March 29.
Investigators said they'd received a tip Sam was in Baton Rouge, and spotted him at a home on Wells Street. Authorities searched the area but said Sam evaded them.
Police dogs, a helicopter, as well as other officers are assisting in the search.
Sam was serving time for a 2012 conviction of marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
