US Airways flight diverted, "security issue"
NEW YORK - US Airways has confirmed that flight 787 from Paris to Charlotte has been diverted to Bangor, Maine.
The reason, according to US Airways, there is security issue. A passenger apparently exhibited "suspicious behavior" according to the airline.
However, no further details exactly about what is happening has been released by the airline.
There are 179 passengers on board the plane with a crew of 9.
The plane is a Boeing 767 landed safely in Bangor, Maine and met by law enforcement.
The diversion cut short the flight to Charlotte by two and a half hours.
