UPDATE: 47-year-old Marlon Rogers was arrested Wednesday and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for three counts of vehicular homicide, one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first-degree vehicular negligent injuring, speeding and red light.

Police say on the night of the crash, Rogers was found to have cocaine in his system.

After receiving a tip from Crime Stoppers, EBRSO arrested Rogers at his home.

BATON ROUGE - Two parents and a 2-month-old child are dead after a violent crash on Scenic Highway Monday evening.

The crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. in the 10600 block of Scenic Hwy.

According to a report from the Baton Rouge Police Department, a 2003 Toyota Avalon was traveling south on Scenic Hwy. and failed to stop at a red traffic light at the intersection of Scenic and Blount.

As a result, the Avalon struck a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Randell Williams Sr. Kalandria Bethley, 21, was a passenger in the Scion. Both Williams Sr. and Bethley were unrestrained and pronounced dead on the scene. Their 2-month-old son, who was in the back seat, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at at hospital Tuesday afternoon.

The 46-year-old male driver of the Avalon and 56-year-old female passenger were transported to a local hospital with moderate to severe injuries.

Police believe the driver of the other vehicle was on drugs and may have been speeding at the time of the crash.
