Update: Police have confirmed two people were injured in an overnight shooting at Baton Rouge General Mid-City in Baton Rouge. One victim was shot multiple times and has life threatening injuries. The other victim's injuries are not life threatening.

Sources on the scene tell News 2 two people are injured as police investigate reports of gunfire at Baton Rouge General Mid-City. The extent and nature of the injuries are unknown.

Police and sheriff's deputies are on the scene.
