UPDATE: Fatal shooting on Evangeline Street possible robbery attempt, police say
BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed on Wednesday morning the shooting on Evangeline Tuesday night resulted in the death of 34-year-old Tyrone Dyer. According to police Dyer was found dead outside of his residense in the 3800 block of Evangeline Street after a possible robbery attempt around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
The shooting is still under investigation and police say there are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information related to the shooting is encouraged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869 or Crimestoppers at 344-7867.
