Unrestrained driver killed in early morning crash
PLAQUEMINE - An investigation is underway this morning in Iberville Parish into a single vehicle crash that killed the a woman.
Louisiana State Police say Plaquemine resident Tonia Abshire was headed south on LA Hwy 73 around 5am Thursday when she ran off the road.
Abshire was ejected from her vehicle after it went into a ditch, overturned and hit a tree.
She was not wearing a seat belt.
Troopers believe Abshire was speeding.
