Unrestrained driver killed in Ascension Parish
DONALDSONVILLE - Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash late Monday night that killed a man from White Castle.
Troopers say 51-year-old Ronald Skinner was headed west on LA Hwy 405 just after 11pm when for some unknown reason he crossed into the eastbound lane then ran off the road. His vehicle ended up in a ditch and hit a utility pole.
Skinner died at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
It's unknown if he was impaired at the time of the crash. Toxicology test are pending.
