Assumption Parish deputies arrested an uncle and nephew in Labadieville after a fight.

It happened around 4:40 p.m. Monday on Violet Street.

Deputies say they were responding to a fight between two females when they got a second call that two men were exchanging gunfire.

Deputies say Ricky Washington and Wallace Washington argued due to an earlier fight between Wallace Washington's wife and Ricky Washington's mother.

Both men are charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal discharge of a weapon and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
