ULM Warhawk's athletic director resigns
MONROE - Bobby Staub, who has served as director of athletics at the University of Louisiana at Monroe since 2004, is resigning, effective July 1.
In a statement Tuesday, Staub announced his resignation. He said the past nine years have been a "tremendous journey for (my wife) Laura and I. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Monroe and have made so many life-long friends here."
Staub did not indicate what his future plans might entail.
During Staub's tenure at Louisiana-Monroe, the athletic department completed its move of all sports programs to the Sun Belt Conference. Three Staub hires - then-men's basketball coach Orlando Early, baseball coach Jeff Schexnaider and football coach Todd Berry - also earned Sun Belt coach of the year honors.
