ULL rides big bats to 9-5 win over Ole Miss
LAFAYETTE - The Ragin Cajuns fell behind 3-0 before answering the Rebels with a scores in the second, third, and fifth innings to outlast Ole Miss 9-5 Saturday night.
Tyler Girouard scored on a fielding erros by Austin Bousfield in center field to start a big inning in the third.
After plating another run in the third, the Cajuns finally went ahead with a three-run homer by Girouard to give UL a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the third inning.
More scoring ensued with a called balk that brought home a Cajun base runner from third base to make it 6-3.
The two teams will meet Sunday night at 8pm in Game 2.
If necessary, they will play Game 3 on Monday night at 6pm.
