SORRENTO – A man from Baton Rouge is one of two wanted for kidnapping another person during a robbery earlier this month.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office just released details of the crime Tuesday but said it happened June 11 when an abandoned vehicle was found on Hwy. 70 in Convent. An unidentified man was found, alive, locked in the trunk.

Deputies said the man was robbed on Panama Road in Sorrento by Shane Redman, 47, of Baton Rouge, and David Gonday, 33, of Gonzales. The two men stole electronics and clothes from the victim, locked him in the trunk and drove the vehicle to Convent where they left it.

Gonday and Redman are wanted on charges of attempted murder, robbery and kidnapping.
