BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Detectives have arrested two teens they believe are responsible for a string of car burglaries in the Shenandoah and Old Jefferson area.

Detectives arrested Kimberly Phillips, 18, and Brittany Griese, 18, after surveillance photos of two female suspects were shown on News 2 and numerous tips from the public were called in.

Both are charged with eight counts of simple burglary, seven counts of theft, one count of theft of a firearm and one count of theft of an access card.

Most of the stolen property has been recovered.

Both subjects were booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Detectives are still searching for a third suspect, a male also shown in surveillance photos with a black, step-side pickup that has chrome bed rails.
