BATON ROUGE - Police released descriptions Thursday of two people they said were involved in an armed robbery at a Baton Rouge store this week.

Cpl. Don Coppola said a man armed with a gun robbed 1st Choice Home Home Furnishings on Airline Highway Wednesday night, while a second person acted as a lookout.

Investigators said the armed man went up to the cash register and pointed a handgun at him, telling him to back away from the register. The robber grabbed some money and ran out the main doors, where the second person was waiting.

Coppola said the armed person was described as a black male between 6' and 6'2", wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, black ski mask, tan cargo long pants, gloves with the fingers cut out, and white tennis shoes. He said the second person was only described as being shorter than the first one, and wearing a dark-colored pullover.

Anyone with information about their identities should call the Armed Robbery Office at 389-3845.
