Two people were shot following a Halloween party at former NBA player John Williams home in Gonzales.
Williams told News 2, initially the party was supposed to be small, but quickly got out of control.
"Two little kids were fighting when I broke it up and said everybody go home," Williams said. "I was talking to another kid at my back door when I heard firecrackers. I got through the house and realized it was a shooting."
Gonzales police said when officers showed up at least 180 juveniles were at the home.
"Officers decided to log everyone that had attended the party so we would have a definitive list to go back to at a later date," Detective Steven Nethken said.
The two shooting victims will be okay. Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call (225) 647-7511.
