Two pitchers look for win No. 13
UNDATED - There are five day games being played in big league baseball this afternoon. Tampa is out for its seventh straight win and the Rays have just the man for the job on the mound in Matt Moore. He enters the contest against Minnesota with a record of 12-3.
The other day games feature the Blue Jays in Cleveland against the Indians, the Yankees at home to Kansas City, Chicago's White Sox at Detroit and Boston at Seattle.
There's good news for fans of the Yankees as the club has announced that Derek Jeter is in the lineup following a nine-month layoff. Jeter broke his left ankle during the AL championship series opener against Detroit last Oct. 13. He had said he would return by opening day, then fractured the ankle again in April during his rehabilitation.
Washington's Jordan Zimmermann is going for his 13th win of the season tonight in a game against the Phillies in Philadelphia.
A good matchup of American League clubs is taking place in Baltimore tonight as the Orioles face the Rangers. The Rangers are a half-game back of the Athletics in the West while the O's are 5 1/2 behind the Red Sox in the East.
