BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge police are looking for two men accused of beating a man and sexually assaulting a woman during an armed robbery in Tigerland Monday night.

Corporal L'Jean McKneely tells News 2 around 11 p.m. two men forced their way into an apartment on the 1400 block of Jim Taylor Drive, and attacked the man and woman who were there.

Police say the suspects beat the man with a handgun and sexually assaulted the woman before robbing them. The men then tried to shove the man in a closet but he fought the attackers and escaped from the apartment.

McKneely said while they chased him the female victim had enough time to escape out of a window to a nearby apartment. The suspects never caught the male victim and fled the scene.

Police said the suspects were described as black males, one of whom had gold teeth. They face charges of sexual battery, armed robbery and aggravated second-degree battery.
