Two men killed in murder-suicide at TJ Ribs
BATON ROUGE-- Police are not sure why, but one man pulled a gun on another man inside TJ Ribs on Acadian Thruway Friday night, shot him several times, then turned the gun on himself.
The shooting happened in front of a packed restaurant. Police tell News 2 surveillance video shows Shawn Jones, 27, of Walker, pulled a gun out of a bag sitting next to him, then shot Raymond Levie, 50, several times in the chest, then under the chin, before he turned the gun on himself.
Levie is the Chief Investigator at the East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Levie was dating Jones' sister, according to Cpl. L'Jean McKneely with BRPD.
Police plan to release a motive in the next few days.
Kevin Kimball, the managing partner at TJ Ribs, will re-open the restaurant Saturday afternoon at 4:00, after his employees receive counseling Saturday morning,
