Two Louisiana airports get federal grants
LAKE CHARLES - Two airports in southwestern Louisiana are getting federal money.
Both Chennault Industrial Airport Authority in Lake Charles and the Jefferson Davis Airport Commission in Jennings have received U.S. Department of Transportation grants.
Chennault in Lake Charles received $2 million for fixing the runway and for a wildlife hazard assessment.
The airport in Jennings received $78,300 to be used for a plan to identify future construction needs.
