Two injured in robbery, shooting overnight
BATON ROUGE - Police said two people were injured while trying to wrestle a gun away from someone who tried to rob them last night.
Investigators said it happened while a group of people were walking together down East Boyd just past midnight. Police said a man with a gun grabbed the arm of a female in the group, and two men with her tried to take the gun away from the attacker.
During the struggle the gun went off, hitting the two men's hands. The attacker fled, and the victims ran to a nearby business for help.
The two men had minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital. No arrests have been made.
News 2's Michael Shingleton will have more on this investigation tonight at 5 and 6 p.m.
