HAMMOND - Officials say police are investigating a drive-by shooting that sent two people to the hospital in the city of Hammond Sunday night.

Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Ave. around 9:17 p.m. Sunday. 

According to the Daily Star, a silver vehicle was driving through the area when its occupants opened fire on several people standing outside an apartment building. Two were taken to an area hospital and treated for their injuries. Both are now in stable condition.
