Two dogs killed in house fire
BATON ROUGE - Two dogs died in a house fire at 17819 Christopher's Crossing in Baton Rouge this morning.
No people were home and one other dog was taken to a veterinarian for care.
Firefighers say the fire appears to have begun in the kitchen area, but the exact cause and point of origin is still under investigation.
Units arrived at the scene at 9:27 a.m. and the fire was put out at 9:46 a.m.
It caused moderate fire damage and heavy smoke damage.
Firefighters performed CPR and administered oxygen to each of the three dogs found at the home.
