Grandfather, 6-year-old granddaughter killed in Denham Springs house fire
DENHAM SPRINGS - A fire at a mobile home in Denham Springs left a man and his granddaughter dead and two others injured just before midnight.
The residence was on Curry Davis Drive off LA-16.
The State Fire Marshal identified the victims as 57-year-old Jesse Lowrance and his granddaughter, 6-year-old Kenley Lowrance.

The two surviving occupants, 53-year-old Deborah Lowrance and her 13-year-old granddaughter were transported to the Baton Rouge General Burn Center for treatment of very serious injuries. The 13-year- old was later transported to University Health in Shreveport.
A neighbor says the 13-year-old ran to his house and alerted them to call 911.

Officials say they believe the fire originated from the living room of the home but have yet to determine the cause.
The incident remains under investigation.
