Two bombs detonated, residents can return home
CARENCRO - According to KATC-TV, Residents can now return to their homes after two bombs were detonated. Wednesday afternoon, Sheriff deputies evacuated eight homes in Lafayette Parish after they said a deputy found two explosive devices in a vehicle during a traffic stop.
Capt. Kip Judice from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office said the deputy found the devices after stopping the car near Carencro.
Deputies evacuated people from eight homes around the scene while authorities responded to deal with the explosives.
