DONALDSONVILLE - Sheriff's deputies arrested two people Wednesday and said they're searching for a third in connection with a deadly shooting from last week in Ascension Parish.

Chief Tony Bacala said deputies charged Marishell "Kool-aid" Ealem, 28, and Charles "Stubby" Broom, 48, in connection with the June 2 murder of 37-year-old Adoriji Wilson.

Bacala said a third suspect, 32-year-old Michael "Ma-man" LeBlanc, is missing and faces second-degree murder charges. Deputies said he should be considered armed and dangerous, and has an extensive criminal history including other murder charges.

Deputies said Wilson was found just before midnight on June 2 shot to death and found lying on the porch. Detectives said their investigation led them to execute four search warrants in Donaldsonville early Wednesday morning, which is when they made the arrests.

Bacala said Ealem faces charges of second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon, while Broom faces obstruction of justice and accessory to second-degree murder charges.

Anyone with information on LeBlanc's whereabouts should call the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or text 847411 to their anonymous tip line. A $2,500 reward is offered for information leading to arrests and indictments in this homicide.
